2016 Presidential Awards for Individual and Organizations Overseas Awarding Ceremony

is an honor for a country as small as the Philippines to be named an empire of care mainly because of its immense Filipino nurse labor force that is practically present in all of the world’s continents. In the US, and elsewhere in the globe, Filipino nurses are highly prized because they can speak English fluently, are trained in state of the art and modern medicine, and enjoy a reputation for their tender loving care, treating patients as if they are real family members

PNAA Position Statement: A Call for an Integrated Rehabilitation Program Regarding the Philippines’ “War on Drugs”

On June 30, 2016, former Davao City Mayor Rodrigo Duterte was inaugurated as the President of the Republic of the Philippines. During his campaign, as a highlight in his platform, he advocated for bold and drastic measures to solve the Philippines’ rampant drug menace, criminality, and the culture of corruption as his main priorities upon taking oath of office.

For the 1st time in PNAA, the Nursing Awards Committee will be holding the awards presentation aboard the “Oasis of the Seas” Cruise Ship, the site of  PNAA’s 38th National Convention from July 23rd to the 29th ,2016.

PNAA Leadership Fellows Program

The PNAA Leadership Fellows Program is opened to all PNAA members and supports the leadership development of Filipino descent in the United States. Through education and mentorship, the program serves as a vehicle to engage and empower nurses who seek high-level careers in leadership and management, education and research.
